Joseline Dubon

Teacher

Hello! My name is Joseline but I go by Jos. I recently graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Biology. While at Santa Cruz, I worked at the marine lab, and I was involved in several restoration projects on campus. Although I loved my time doing research, I soon came to realize that I love teaching and sharing my passion for science even more! My first exposure to the outdoors was when I was a kid. I would travel with my grandpa through the jungles of El Salvador. I remember being amazed by the trees and animals and I knew I wanted to be outside forever. When I moved to the United States, I was committed to continuing to learn about the environment. I was part of a community garden program where I learned to grow my own food, and I also volunteered as an interpreter at The Aquarium of the Pacific on the weekends. When I am not hiking, you can catch me skateboarding, taking pictures, or tide pooling! I am so happy to be back in Los Angeles and I cannot wait to see what we will discover together!
