Love Your Mother Day

Sunday May 13, 10:30 – 12:30

“Love your Mother” on Mother’s Day! Take a quick trip to the Connecticut River to witness shad, herring, alewives, lampreys and eels ride the Barrett Fishway elevator up and over Holyoke Dam.

A Fishways representative will give us a tour of the facility, and then we’ll enjoy a short field environmental philosophy walk by the side of the river.

—This a perfect opportunity for Our Place students to join the Biocitizen Corps, our expanding group of citizen-scientists who learn about our biome’s creatures and take action to care for them. Providing real-life, hands-on experience in ecological- and habitat- conservation activities, the Corps nurtures our future environmental leaders.
