ice/thaw/emergence

“Ice/Thaw/Emergence” is designed to bring us into direct contact with the primordial forces that begin, sustain and culminate Spring.

Two sessions of “Ice/Thaw/Emergence” will be held for each month of Feb., March, and April, 3 classes staggered over the 3 months, for a total of 6 session-days. There is a limit of five students for each session.

The itinerary will be similar to “Our Place,” in that we’ll investigate areas fairly close to Northampton; but it will be contingent upon the weather conditions. We’ll adapt to the circumstances, visiting the icy-est, thaw-iest and emergence-iest places so our senses are overwhelmed by the biotic totality.

A primary goal of this educational experience is to confirm that to witness and participate in the rejuvenate (ie, life-giving) forces of nature, we don’t need to spend tons of money on gear, supplies and transport.

The cost for this 3-day (1 day per month) intensive is $90. and includes roundtrip van transport from our Brushworks studio to the outdoor classrooms.
