Claws & Claws Deep

are designed for advanced Sharpshins who want to be challenged further in the practice of the wild.

From July 5-8 we’ll have two concurrent sessions, Claws and Claws Deep.

Both groups will depart Northampton on Weds. July 5th at 10am, drive to New Hampshire’s White Mountains, park, enter the Great Gulf Wilderness , spend the afternoon setting camp and exploring the upper Peabody River watershed. Then we’ll camp out, wake up (Thurs. 7/6), ascend the incredible Madison Gulf Trail to the top of Mt Madison & feast and lodge at the AMC Madison Hut.

Friday morning (7/7) Claws will descend slowly from above treeline, returning to Northampton (after pizza and ice cream in St. Johnsbury) at about 11pm.

Claws Deep will continue on to climb Mt Washington, spend the night (7/7) at AMC’s Lake in the Clouds, and return to Northampton (after pizza and ice cream in St. Johnsbury) on Saturday (7/8) around 11pm.

NOTE: Parents are welcome to participate in the Claws program.
